But I think this structure helps make things clear and easy to digest. The Greek word for knowledge means to know. But the gift is not the gift of knowledge, but the "word of knowledge". "Word" means "word", "reason" or "plan" in Greek. The gift of the word of knowledge is a supernatural revelation from God that gives you details or information about a specific situation or person, it does not tell you the meaning of the revelation.
“The word of knowledge is but a small part of God's general knowledge, given supernaturally through the Holy Spirit working under God's control.” Learning, taking lessons, taking risks does not mean giving away knowledge. It just means you've learned a lot and have a great ability to retain information.
Learning about God and gaining a good understanding and education is not the same as having this gift. As we grow and mature in God, we will naturally grow from Him. God can use the word knowledge in many ways. Someone can be used to bring someone closer to God, increase your faith, help a situation, open doors, and be kind to a person or situation.
What Is The Gift Of Word Of Knowledge?
Acts 9:11-16 - The Lord gave Ananias a word of knowledge and gave him specific information on how to find Paul. Acts 10 - Cornelius received a vision from an angel and a word of knowledge about Simon Peter. Acts 5:1-11 - Peter learned of the lies of Ananias and Sapphira.
Verse 4 - Jesus has a word of knowledge about the Samaritan woman at the well. Seek love and seek spiritual gifts, but most importantly, seek prophecy. - 1 Corinthians 14:1 I talk about gifts in all my posts, but this is so important! They asked all the leaders to pray for the students. I went to this gentleman and started praying for him. As I began to pray, I saw a carton of eggs and eggs hatch and I sensed that this had something to do with the season.
I told you what I saw and gave details that made sense. For me it was a random word and I hoped it would make sense and give me a blessing. The gentleman shakes his head and starts to laugh. It set me back a bit.
