I'm going to share one of my favorite gift giving methods with you by showing you how to upcycle a shoe box into a gift box. Most motorcycle and craft owners stick to scraps of material they think will be needed for future projects.

Shoe Box Gift
I'm always looking for weird wrapping paper or ribbons or accessories (I'm drawn like a magnet to every wrapping section in the store!), but I also collect boxes! I keep shoe boxes, chocolate boxes, old jewelry boxes, gift boxes from me, bottles, tin boxes, kitchen pipes, cardboard boxes and more.
If you feel your gift could fit into a certain container, place it in a collapsible box. Yes, I am a hoarder! Then refresh that box or container to upgrade it to a brand new gift box! Choose colored paper with a geometric pattern, then place the box on the plain side of the gift wrap.
Next, cut a suitable section of gift wrapping paper, leaving enough space to fit the paper on the four corners of the shoe box. Next, attach the shoebox to the middle of the wrapping paper and to the plain side of the paper. Place the box on the long side and cut 2 cuts at the beginning and end of the long side.
Step 2
This will help later when dealing with the short side. Before folding and pinning the long side of the wrapping paper, fold the edges in about 1cm for a neat finish. Attach double-sided tape to secure. Now fold the long side and secure with double-sided tape. Repeat steps 4-6 for the other long side of the box

Made from used boxes! This is a really fantastic money saving, environmentally friendly way to give gifts. Reusing wrapping paper can make it much more environmentally friendly. You can use old wrapping paper that you saved or one of the newspapers if you like the look.
