Shining Time Station Tis A Gift
The Conductor (Ringo Starr) with an ax slung over his shoulder, drags a miniature fir tree across the bench top toward his house. The station was filled with people trying to catch the train to take them to their families. Even Schemer (Brian O'Connor) is excited that the Indian Valley Committee is throwing a Christmas contest and is almost certain to land the role of Santa's best man.
The kids, Matt (Jason Wolliner) and Tanya (Nicole Leach), write letters to Santa Claus, and Mr. Conductor sends them on their way. Then he tells the children the story of how Thomas the Locomotive threw a Christmas party: An old man, Mr. Nicholas (Lloyd Bridges), enters the station carrying a Christmas tree with Harry's cousin Tucker Cupper (Ardon Bess) and immediately finds out all about Stacy Jones (
Didi Conn) since he was a child. Mr. Nicholas says he's there to chase the North Star, a train that doesn't run on that line, but Mr. Nicholas is sure he will. Meanwhile, Stacy agrees to babysit Claire's (Judy Marshak) daughter, Vickie (Rachel Miner), a naughty little girl at the station.

Matt and Tanya dislike him because of his attitude. He meets Mr. Nicholas, who teaches him to be kind to others, and it soon starts to work; A schemer's mom gets her into a Santa helper costume, and she launches a campaign against Stacy by telling Midge Smoot (Bobo Lewis), JB King (Mart Hulswit) and the mayor (Jerome Dempsey) the wrong things about her.

Mr. Conductor tells the children a different story from the island of Sodor: Mr. Nicholas (actually Santa Claus) is still waiting for the North Star. To everyone's surprise, the train stopped at the station as expected. Meanwhile, there is a struggle over who will play Santa's helper.
Mr. Nicholas encourages Vickie to use her singing talents to quell the conflict. His singing of the 1848 Shakers song "A Simple Present" reminded them all of the true spirit of Christmas. Harmony is restored when everyone gathers around the tree to celebrate the power of faith.
This gift is a Christmas special. The action takes place between the first two seasons. The Christmas spirit has hit the Shining Time station which is busier than ever. Schemer tries to get passengers to vote for him to be Santa's helper at the town's Christmas pageant, which needlessly results in a voting campaign against Stacy.

JB King starts looking for Mr. Conductor, leaving gifts for him at the station, hoping he will accept them. Two new faces appear at the station; A man named Mr. Nicholas, who believes a certain train called The Northern Star is coming for him, much to the confusion of the staff, and Vickie, a shy girl who accidentally ruins Matt and Tanya's fun and preparations.
As the night wore on, St. Santa helps Vickie come out of her shell, giving her the courage to get more involved with the station. When Mayor Flopdinger announces that he is going to be Santa's helper, the adults at the station make a scene.

As the entire station gathers in harmony to sing carols, Mr. Claus (revealed to be Santa Claus himself) goes to The Northern Star as Mr. Conductor goes with him to help. Everyone is chosen to be Santa's helper, and the stations come together to celebrate the Christmas spirit.
Thomas hated carrying a snowplow. Snow was a stupid, soft thing to him, and Thomas thought he could handle it without a plow. In the end, Thomas was trapped and his new friend Terence Tractor had to get him out of the snow. It's been a full year since Mrs.

Kyndley saves Thomas from a bad accident. Christmas is coming soon and locomotive decides to thank him by throwing him a Christmas party. Unfortunately, Mrs. Kyndley gets buried in the snow and this time Thomas has to save her so she can come to the surprise party.
Thomas is sent by Sir Topham Hatt on a special mission to get a Christmas tree and bring it to the ball. But Thomas got stuck in a snowdrift and disappeared. Donald and Douglas are sent to rescue Thomas and help him get back to the Christmas tree party.
