The chick is a two-year-old tufted duck hatched in a zoo. In early spring, puffin beaks and legs turn a vibrant orange color during mating season. They turn white in the face and show off their incredible tufts. 🧡📸: Brittany's keeper, the beautiful Kali Sumatran tigress, relaxes behind the curtain with her huge scratching post.

🎉 Meerkats are social animals that live in groups called mobs. Tacoma Public Schools Science and Math Institute (SAMI) students recently helped create fire hose animal protection items donated by Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One. SAMI students were divided into two teams to knit, tie, drill and store what Suki, our senior Asian elephant, would use as an interactive feeder.
