Pick Of The Litter Thrift And Gift Shop - The second-hand shop is open Monday to Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4:00 p.m. We accept donations in two ways. Via an unscheduled unattended delivery or a scheduled delivery (see instructions below). For unscheduled door-to-door donations, the thrift store accepts donations Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or FULL, whichever comes first.

No donations are accepted on Sundays. For scheduled donation deliveries, please contact our resale consultants at 650-490-4585. The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA operates a resale shop at 1127 Chula Vista in Burlingame, just off Broadway and near Hwy 101 and Caltrain. All proceeds go directly to the PHS/SPCA shelters.
Pick of the Litter offers a wide selection of pre-owned treasures including men's, women's and children's clothing, home furnishings, art, jewelry and watches, books, records, musical instruments, cameras and vintage and clothing. The Pick sells some of the items in the thrift store online at We accept donations of clothing, home goods, collectibles, books, records, CDs, art, jewelry and holiday decorations in salable condition.
However, furniture donations are only made on an approved basis with the help of our resale consultants. No furniture is accepted as a walk-in donation. To schedule a delivery with one of our reseller consultants, or to learn more about donating, please call 650-490-4585. It is impossible for us to list all the items we accept, but for the sake of simplicity we would like to list the items we do not accept (click here).

We know you want your donation to help animals, and we do not accept items that are certified not to be sold in our store. Broken, chipped, cracked, damaged, dirty, covered in pet hair, smelly, scratched, worn, dirty, torn, damp, moldy, rusty, worn, disassembled or incomplete items are not for sale.

They take up space and eventually demand that we take them to the dump and use donor funds to pay for disposal. If you don't use it yourself, don't let your kids play with it, or even see it at home, please don't bring it to Pick of the Litter.
Thanks for thinking about animals! It is illegal to leave donations when the shop is closed. There are cameras recording at all times and illegal dumping will be reported to the Burlingame Police Department. We have clothes, furniture...this thrift store is well curated without the high prices that usually come with curated additions. It has a good mission/supports a good cause! However, it is not the best. Service: Parking is in short supply as the site is shared with other businesses and non-customers are not allowed to park there.
The store is also a bit hard to miss, so think about that first. Access is difficult due to the site's odd shape. There was constant trash in the parking lot and... many items on the floor were unmarked. It's really sad when you find a great gift and they tell you they can't sell it.
