Like Season 1, the Season 2 Battle Pass has two versions: Free and Premium. The Free tier offers 20 cosmetic rewards, while the Premium tier offers 80. This season's theme is Greek Mythology, and many Battle Pass cosmetic items are based on it. The mythic skin you get for reaching level 80 of the Premium Pass is Zeus Junker Queen (pictured above).
The Premium Battle Pass costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins, or about $10. With your purchase, you'll get instant access to the new tank hero Ramattra, as well as a 20% bonus on all XP you earn during the season, helping you level up your Battle Pass faster.
You'll also instantly unlock the sweet Bug Soldier: 76 Legendary skin, which has a distinct Ant-Man feel. What's more, you'll be adding the Cerberus Weapon Amulet to your collection of Greek Mythology cosmetics (looks like it'll appeal to all Hades fans). The legendary Ramattra also looks great. While I'm not sure how they fit into the Greek mythology theme, the Echo and Tracer skins are also cool. As much as I love their ragdolls and comics, maybe it's time for a change. And, uh, this Breaking News memento might actually lead me to start using the memento emote (even though Medusa is sick too).
It's me, your team is hardcore. You can unlock 21 rewards on the free version of the Battle Pass. They are scattered all over the place, so you don't have to get a reward every four levels. Remember that if you purchase the Premium Battle Pass at any time, you will receive all the rewards you should have earned up to that point.
Another important thing to note about the free battle pass is that you need to reach level 45 to unlock Ramattra. In the first season, you could unlock 20 levels of Battle Pass rewards for free. However, since Blizzard moved Ramattra from level 55 to level 45, the company is offering an additional freebie.
