The owners are Korean and serve Korean lunch on Saturdays. Love this store...they usually have what I want and they make their own kimchi and salads and they are all great.
I try to get there on a Saturday morning when they sell takeout. Very friendly, helpful people. Of course, when I want to, of course, I go to St. Pete, Tampa or Brandon. Also this food market is family owned and run by a wonderful husband and wife.
There are amazing racks all over Asia (Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, etc.). If you need your receipt - they are here. On Saturdays from 11-2 (or until sold out), this family-run shop serves homemade Korean food including BiBimBap, Bulgogi, sweet potato noodles, pot stickers and other delicious dishes.
During the rest of the week, be sure to look for a variety of fresh, homemade ... kimchi in the refrigerator section, including cucumber kimchi, radish kimchi, and bok choy kimchi. This is one of my favorite stores in town. Not only does it have the best selection of oriental food, the prices are great and the family that runs it is unfailingly friendly and kind.

Another wonderful gem at the gateway to the Persian Gulf. It is best to go in the morning when they are seated for their special meals. You can eat creative noodles and dishes just for Sats. Check the expiration date on cans and cans. A bit dusty and some are out of date.
Best Asian Market in Sarasota. They have a good selection of Korean, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, British, Indian... It's not a restaurant but a small family market but they have lunch on Saturdays. They do a lot of food and have a table in the shop where you can eat.
There is no menu. It's all very casual, like family cooking for you. The staff is very helpful and explains what the dishes are and how to mix and eat them. They make changes for you and even mix the bibim bap for you so you don't have to fumble it at the table with a plastic spoon.
I came here twice and sat at the table while eating and had a nice conversation with the others. The atmosphere is friendly and homey and the food is great!
