Gift Card Omni Visa Card was given by my husband as a Christmas gift card due to Covid. My husband used it once and gave it to me, tried to use it in January and found out it expired on 12/22. I had $100 left.

I called saying they knew exactly what was left on the card but after waiting 7 days they refused and said it was too late. whose money is this? In Canada, cards do not expire under provincial law. VISA must be on the back of this card to put your name on the front.
Whenever I'm at the gift card counter, I check to make sure I told people this card was stolen and how it expires. Maybe he'd better throw his money away. Even MacDonalds honors old gift cards. The same goes for VISA. I have been requesting to replace my card for two months now.

Expired card - Won't issue new card - Said related to crap - $100 kept by OMNI - I want the company to give me a Target card. This card was issued to me with the help of United Way. After they lost their house in a big fire.
When I received it and activated this outfit I already deducted 4 months @ 4.95 from my 500 prepaid card. This $500 card was purchased and paid for by the United Way as a way to help people who have lost everything and the money has already been deducted when you receive and activate the card!

It is an immoral, dirty, rotten outfit that is ripping off the United Way and those who are in desperate need of help and support. Shame on you! FYI, I got my money back after a long phone call. Do not give up. I said "that's not the problem" (expired funds and suddenly inaccessible) and asked them to send me a new card.
Rewards & Incentives
The person answering the phone seemed to be the only person in the call center. He was going to say that the money was gone. Being over $700 would have helped. He clearly felt guilty. I cited Covid etc but basically insisted they should give me money.
I recently called (877) 610-1075 asking to be connected to the Omnicard department and left my phone number when the agent was unavailable so someone would call me back within a few hours. The agent quickly called back. and I. crap of any kind. Dare to get a gift card from the union and they'll take your last $5-10.
This place needs to be raked in this scam!!! not. Mindful of business. Don't buy as a gift this POS company runs a dirt bag business. SCAM.. I would like to give it 0 stars. It was a birthday party for my girls this May 2022. They got this $75 OmniCard Visa gift card.
I just tried to redeem my card in July 2022 and it expired on 03/22. Strange thing is the friend who bought it put the receipt in the card and apparently bought it on May 1st 2022. This should be illegal. This company is a scam... This company pocketed a $100 gift card my employer gave me.
