The Morton Arboretum is committed to providing opportunities for visitors to access 1,700 acres of trees and nature at an affordable price. The Arboretum also offers free timed admission on select holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
One Day Can Make A Difference.
Mutual Garden members are eligible for up to two free general admission tickets per visit. The Arboretum currently uses a timed-entry ticketing system to moderate the flow of guests on site at this time. Free passes require timed tickets to be purchased online, and a refund request made at the Visitor Center Information Desk during opening hours on the day of your visit with a valid membership card from the home garden.

Reciprocal benefits do not extend to special event tickets The Arboretum offers free admission to active duty military members and their families by presenting a valid military or military family ID at the gate.
Timed entry passes are not required for entry. Veterans and those accompanying them to the Morton Arboretum in the same vehicle do not need to purchase advanced admission at the time of entry and are admitted free on Veteran's Day. A day at the Arboretum is a great way to celebrate together, find moments of peace in nature and share a sense of the beauty of our land.
Through the Arboretum's participation in the Museums for All program, Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cardholders can receive a $1 admission pass in advance of their visit by emailing tickets@mortonarb.org with the date, time and Number of tickets desired, as well as a phone number so a staff member can reach you to finalize the order.

Guests can also call 630-725-2066 in advance to request this type of ticket. Guests can purchase up to eight passes this way. The request must be made 72 hours before the visit. Guests show their EBT card and timed entry pass at the gatehouse for entry.
It is important to note that peak times and visits may sell out, prior contact is recommended. A limited number of partial scholarships are now available for eligible participants in the Museum for All program or for anyone who would not otherwise be able to attend an educational opportunity at the Arboretum.

To apply for a scholarship, contact the Arboretum Registrar's Office at least three business days before the start of the program. Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Association of Children's Museums (ACM) to encourage increased and regular museum attendance from low-income and disadvantaged families.

Admission through Museums for All includes access to the Arboretum's 1,700 acres, including our award-winning four-acre Children's Garden, with engaging and interactive areas and activities designed to foster a love of trees and the outdoors. Visitors can also hike, bike, and enjoy special events and festivals throughout the year.
Lighting, ticketed events, tram rides, bike/ski rental, and discounts at the Arboretum Store or Ginkgo Restaurant purchases are not included in the Museums for Everyone admission program. Admission to the Museums for All at the Morton Arboretum is available daily during current hours of operation.
