Mickey And Minnie's Gift Of The Magi

The first story is inspired by "Christmas Every Day" by William Dean Howells. On Christmas morning, Donald's three nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie are excited to receive many presents, but Donald is upset to see them opened before the rest of the family arrive. Still, Donald shrugs and surprises his nephews with the three sleighs he got from him, but unfortunately they miss the Christmas card Donald left on the sleigh.

When Daisy, Scrooge and their Aunt Gertie arrive for Christmas, the boys run past them to get out and enjoy their new sleigh. When Daisy calls the boys over for dinner, they use bad table manners by eating their food coarsely and burping a lot.

When Scrooge asks everyone to sing Christmas carols, the boys decide to play with their toys instead of participating. Before going to bed, the boys are sad that Christmas is over, so they wish a star in the sky that Christmas was every day. When the boys wake up the next morning, they discover that their wish has come true and that every day is now Christmas.

The boys like it at first, but as the days turn into weeks, they soon get bored and go crazy, to the point where they almost go crazy and go through the same events every day. They then decide to change the day with pranks to "spice things up", including trading a cooked turkey for a live one.

Unfortunately, this day turns out to be the worst possible day for Christmas. The boys feel guilty about their pranks when they learn how much their family has been trying to make Christmas better in the wake of the destruction of the decorations and the letter Donald and Daisy wrote to them.

They decide to make amends and make the next day the best Christmas day ever. They trade the turkey for ham and give Aunt Gertie exclusive kisses, but Donald is incredulous at all of their sudden good deeds. When he confronts his cousins about it, he discovers that they have built a boat (made out of their sleds) just for him.

Donald was thankful that the boys did it for him, and soon after, the family is in a group hug as they sing Christmas carols in front of the tree. The next day, the boys wake up happy to discover that Christmas is finally over.

They then use the boat they made to go sledding with Donald, but accidentally push Donald too far, causing the boat to fall apart and send Donald flying straight into the snowman. At the end, the narrator explains that while Christmas cannot be there all the time, the feeling it gives us can always be there.

Goofy and Max write their letter to Santa. They end up running after the postman, chasing his truck on Max's bike and taking a shortcut through the mall. After accidentally losing a letter at the mall, Goofy stays behind to look for it while Max goes after the postman.

When Goofy gets the letter back, he manages to get to Max and the postman just in time. At home, Max reveals to his father that he wants a snowboard for Christmas and hopes Santa will bring it, but their neighbor Pete insists Santa doesn't exist.

Goofy tells Max that Santa exists and that he should always believe in him. That evening, Goofy and Max join the Andersons, a less fortunate family, to host a Christmas dinner for them. Goofy then dresses up as Santa to impress the kids, but one of the family's kids takes off his hat and reveals him.

This upsets Max, who makes him think that his father lied to him about Santa and that Pete was telling the truth, so he runs home in tears. Goofy tries to prove to Max that Santa Claus really exists by staying up late to watch him.

After several hours of waiting, Goofy sees someone coming out of the chimney on Pete's roof, believing it to be Santa Claus, but it turns out to be a burglar who robs Pete's house. Goofy then falls off the roof and falls into a deep depression, now believing that everything Max said was true.

Max makes his father happy by dressing up as Santa himself. When Goofy realizes it's really Max, they look up to the sky and see the real Santa Claus, who gives Max the snowboard he wanted and then blows the snow from Goofy's house to Pete's house to teach him a lesson.

Max then tells his father that he is going to share his gift with little Jimmy, the poor boy next door. The narrator explains that Christmas is found in life, not by what we receive, but by what we give. It's Christmas Eve and Mickey wants to get Minnie a chain for her watch, and Minnie wants Mickey a case for his accordion, but neither of them have any money.

Mickey And Minnie's "Gift Of The Magi"

Mickey works at Crazy Pete's Tree Lot and earns a lot of money for his kindness and helping people. But when the poor family suggests they buy a small Christmas tree he's heard about instead of one of Pete's ten-foot-tall Christmas trees, Pete takes the money he's made and throws it away.

Then Pete accidentally puts the still-burning cigar in his pocket with Mickey's money without noticing, setting himself and his trees on fire. He also ruined his chance to sell his expensive 10 foot shoes. Meanwhile, Minnie works in the gift wrapping department at Mortimer's department store, hoping her Christmas bonus from her boss, Mortimer Mouse, will be enough to pay for Mickey's present.

Unfortunately, her Christmas bonus is nothing more than a fruitcake. Mickey plays his accordion for the Charity Toy Drive and is told that his accordion plays so well it must be worth a lot of money. Mickey gets the idea to trade his accordion for a necklace, so he and Pluto rush to the store.

Later, at Minnie's house, Mickey gives Pluto a bone for Christmas, and Minnie knits a ball of yarn for her cat, Figaro. Mickey and Minnie then give each other presents. Minnie's gift to Mickey is a case for his accordion and Mickey's gift to Minnie is a chain for her watch.
