Beginning Thursday, May 11, the museum will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Travel routes are not closed except in emergency and winter conditions. Due to ongoing construction, the Wetherill Mesa area of Mesa Verde National Park will be closed for the summer of 2023. Most of the cabins on the roof can be visited with a ticketed tour in person.

The Mesa Verde Association, formerly the Mesa Verde Museum Association, has been a nonprofit partner of Mesa Verde National Park since the 1930s. The Mesa Verde Association operates a bookstore and gift shop and the Visitor & Research Center at the Chapin Mesa Museum. Profits go to support various translation programs, research projects and visitor services.
The association provides visitors to Mesa Verde National Park with educational and informational programs through an active publishing program and the operation of retail stores at the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center, the Archaeological Museum of Chapin Mesa, and buildings market them online. These resources enhance the visitor's experience, and the proceeds from the sale are donated to the park's outreach, research and education programs.

The Mesa Verde Association is committed to providing the best merchandise that will enhance the visitor experience at Mesa Verde National Park. All the products in our store undergo a thorough research process to ensure the best educational value and description. The Mesa Verde Museum is located in the Research & Visitor Center and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
