We, Scott and Troy, moved to Maggie Valley and opened a shop called 'The Tarnished Swan' in 1982. It was a 400 square foot space bought with two thousand dollars borrowed from family. Scott worked at the store during the day while Troy was a waiter at J. Arthur's restaurant.

In 1986 we expanded into a new shopping complex in the heart of Maggie Valley. Troy thought it would be a good idea to rent a shop there, so we opened a new shop and called it Cabbage Rose. They sold the damaged Swan after a year to focus on Cabbage Rose.
We are always on top of what our customers are looking for and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service while offering quality products at great prices. We started with just one part of our store that was about 3000 square feet and now we have grown to over 10,000 feet.
Women's clothing, jewelry, home accents, bath and body products, art, potpourri, and a 2,500 square foot Christmas store all under our roof! When you visit Cabbage Rose, it's not just another shopping trip, it's an experience to remember! A memory to cherish while reminiscing about the good times spent in the Hills.
Over the years, Cabbage Rose has become more of a destination store than a shopping store. People come from all over the world to buy Cabbage Rose and usually visit two or three times per trip. And for those who can't visit our regular store, you can always buy our products on this retail site.
