After reading several reviews immediately after subscribing, I decided to close the account. Less than an hour passed between signing and canceling, but they said the first order had already been placed, so I couldn't cancel the first batch. When I looked at my account details, the first order was shipped within 2 weeks, so I'm guessing they haven't started connecting anything yet, again when I ordered an hour ago.
I am not at all thrilled with this and will never try something like this again. THEY ARE THIVES!!!! I sent an email and got a response to cancel my subscription, although I canceled it online, I need to make sure it really was cancelled.
The representative confirmed and again I saw that my account had been debited. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY IT'S A SCAM!!!! I had this subscription for 7 months. Initially, the app doesn't save my child's preferences, so I keep getting themes we don't like. I finally found time to switch topics, but I ended up with so many books in the same Color Me series with different titles that book variety was poor.

A group of literary figures did not help. I recommend trying other book subscriptions. This is expensive and unsatisfactory. Signed up for a subscription. It was 7 days to review the book, but the money was debited after 2 days. They compared the price with Amazon, but the books on Amazon are cheaper.

And you have to pay a monthly fee of $15 and they don't waive the monthly fee and the monthly fee you pay for books. Stick to the Amazon. These sites are transparent and dishonest. We received a Literary Gift Card for my son's birthday.
We never heard of it, but it sounded cool. I think it's overpriced. You pay $10 to get a box. If you want all the books, another $50 or so. My son didn't like all the books in the box. We only had 2. Then I canceled it.
We can't say enough about how great our writers' subscription has been. It gave our kids a whole new reading experience, and as their mom, nothing makes me happier than watching them learn! You have to guess which books to choose - I highly recommend!

Literature is a fun addition to our home! Even my reluctant reader (age 9) is happy to read when the box arrives every month! This is a great way to create our home library with some titles that this homeschooled mom would naturally not get her hands on!
Fully recommend! My kids love getting books from Literary every month. When my oldest son looks at the box by the door, he is so excited about the choice that was made for him. We also love the beautiful picture posters in each box. We keep them in frames and on children's walls.

Definitely recommend this subscription, they choose five age appropriate books for you every month that match or better than Amazon! We love all the books we have and it helped us a lot to create a library for our daughter. Subscription boxes are so much fun!
What better way to build your child's home library than a monthly order of specially selected books! So far we love all the books, and even better, they are bestsellers! The best book club! We love getting our monthly package in the mail and my daughter loves opening the box to see what books she might read next!

This is a bright thing during quarantine! We love books. I called and emailed several times to cancel my subscription, but they "misunderstood" what I wanted and only disabled auto-renewal. They are scammers! My daughter loves getting this box every month! There are always books we haven't heard of or books we love!
This is a great way to build your child's library! Such a scam! They charge you extra hundreds for books, like you get five books a month for 9.99! Do not do that! We started Literature Subscription in June. The box arrived by June and we had 1 book left in bulk, but we later found out it was 40% more expensive than what we bought on Amazon.
It does not matter. July came and they took payment for July but nothing was delivered. I contacted them on July 31st because it was the last day of July and I didn't receive anything. Customer service actively argued with me in an email thread saying it was normal (payment and non-delivery) and eventually had to file a complaint with the business bureau before the letterers came back and refunded my July payment.

Finally, in the first week of August, they sent me my July box. So August came, today is August 31, and again the box is not visible. This is the 2nd month in a row. Although customer service said that the July episode was once disabled.

Very unreliable service, poor customer service and book prices are not always cheap. So do your homework and check prices before you get a book from Ripoff. Make sure you understand that this is a one year commitment. No returns. Period. I thought it was a great idea and was looking forward to expanding my daughter's home library.
Pay for book shipping, pay only for the ones you want to keep, and send the rest back. Unfortunately, nothing. Classify. I ordered our first box about 2 weeks later and two days later I canceled it and there were no updates on the packaging and it was clear that we had not received the package at that time.
I started looking for reviews until most of them flashed on Facebook. Just realized they don't let you browse. (Red flag one.) I started looking on Google for anything really negative, and I had to dig deeper. (Red flag two.) In the negative reviews on Facebook, people had the same problem, I did not receive their parcels, and after they sent back the books, they did not want or did not receive them (which bothered me very much). You should
talk to a service representative when canceling. I clearly felt that if they tried to sell you more and give you reasons to stay, after the first try, the service should be cancelled. No. On my second try, they threatened to tell Better Business to cancel the service, and while I was leaving them a review, they hung up, asked me for a review, and cut off communication while I was typing!
