I really like December's extended availability and it's a great incentive, especially if you have some last minute LEGO shopping! Here's a look at the back of the box and the interior of Santa's workshop. There's a lot of great detail and we also get a Santa minifigure (bi-shaped legs) and a working elf.
329 pieces, it's a good sized set, and the workshop is full of gifts and toys. LEGO also managed to integrate a moving toy carrier into it, which is pretty neat. Note that you can also combine the 40564 Winter Elves Scene, November GWP to create a larger scene full of elves.

for Christmas gift needs. Then I see these and check the time; Sure enough, it doesn't have the 25th, which is the release date of the Lunar New Year kits, which is my next planned purchase. I'm just learning to be happy with what I have and I try not to be too sad so I'm constantly missing some of these little sets.
Not sure where you are, but Facebook Marketplace has a lot of people selling GWPs for $20-$30 after release (they get more expensive over time). I pick them up when I want, and I don't have a big purchase. It's good to remember, must watch.

I'm in Ireland so the supply is usually less. Also, I'm sure I can find plenty of European sellers willing to ship or search eBay or some other alternative. Just buy them at Bricklink. There are many for sale in Europe and very cheap prices.
