My daughter's boyfriend and sister want to buy passes for this summer. We encourage them to get gold cards (we have platinum) for the best benefits (ERT, parking, etc.). Always trying to save some $$, I think I can buy KI Season Pass gift cards at Kroger and they can use them to buy a gold pass and add the cash needed to upgrade to gold.

I figure I'll save about $7.00 in gas points for each pass purchased ($20 per gallon x 35 gallons - we drive 2 cars per fill up). Has anyone tried this? Is it possible to buy passes online with gift cards.\ I haven't. If you don't need a response right away, there is a "Contact Us" link on the KI website and I got a response within a few days.
I wouldn't take the chance without confirming that it was possible. $99.99 KI Prepaid Cards at Kroger are Gold Memberships if you redeem them by May 28/Mass. And they qualify for double fuel points. It's better than buying online because there's no $5 processing fee and no buggy-based Accesso store.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 4x reward bonus shows up in the next few weeks starting with graduation season. I guess I can wait until the Kroger flyer comes out next week. I found a display at my local Krogers with Gold Card cards.

I missed it when I was looking earlier and only found regular season passes at the fair. I plan on passing on any gas rebates to them because they need it more than I do. I just heard that Kroger is offering 4x points on Kings Island gifts from May 21st through June 17th (must purchase Gold Card by May 28th).
Unfortunately my daughter and friends are coming over on Saturday so we will only get 2x points. Story of my life..... So this afternoon I went to Krogers, bought two adult gift cards from a special display, promotional gold cards for $99. I paid $99 on both cards.
My daughter, who is spending the night with her rugby teammates, called to make sure the tickets were for the Gold Passes. The cards say they are regular passes. I looked at my bill and it says "KNGS ISL REG $99". I'm sure they won't have a problem with processing them as the gold goes out tomorrow.

He stops by the house before they head to KI to get a copy of the receipt (and his newly printed Fun Perks All-day Drinks wristband -- yay!). Since they are supposed to be gone tomorrow, I didn't get to take advantage of the Kroger 4x gas points deal that runs from May 21st to June 17th (I think).
You Customize A Gift
KI gave us a $1/gallon discount tag when buying a gift card. We took 3 cars and took 35 liters of gas. The next step is to upgrade the nieces gold card (with 4x points). I think I can do that at Kroger service. How to save money... they are gold vouchers, they should not have a processing problem.
I tried 3 different ones in my area (Columbus) and couldn't find them. Season passes are not sold in Columbus stores. Park at the Kroger on Kings Mills Rd (if taking I-71) or at the intersection of US-42 and Bypass 42 (if taking US-42). You'll save $0.40/gallon on fuel per ticket if you buy on/after May 21st.
