Is Faith A Spiritual Gift
The Bible gives a brief definition of faith in Hebrews 11:1: What do we hope for? We expect God to be trustworthy and keep his promises. We can be sure that his promises of salvation, eternal life, and a resurrected body will one day be ours based on who God is.
The second part of this definition acknowledges our problem: God is invisible. We can't see the sky either. Eternal life, which begins with our individual salvation here on earth, is also something we don't see, but our faith in God gives us certainty of these things.
Again, we do not have scientific and tangible evidence but the absolute reliability of God's character. Where do we learn about God's character so that we can have faith in Him? The obvious answer is the Bible, in which God fully reveals himself to his followers.

In our day to day, Christians are assailed on all sides by doubts. Doubt was the dirty little secret of the Apostle Thomas, who had been traveling with Jesus Christ for three years, listening to him every day, watching his actions, even seeing him rise from the dead.
But when it came to the resurrection of Christ, Thomas demanded a delicate proof: Thomas was the most famous unbeliever in the Bible. On the other side of the coin, in Hebrews chapter 11, the Bible presents an impressive list of heroic Old Testament believers in a passage often called the "Faith Hall of Fame."
Why We Need Faith
These men and women and their stories stand out to encourage and challenge our faith. For believers, faith starts a chain of events that ultimately leads to heaven: Unfortunately, one of the great misconceptions in the Christian life is that we can create faith on our own.
we can't We strive to revive the faith by doing Christian works, praying more, reading the Bible more; In other words, do, do, do. But the Scriptures say that's not how we understand it: Martin Luther, one of the earliest Christian reformers, insisted that faith comes from God working in us and from no other source.

It is often difficult to see through the mists of this world and beyond the challenges of this life. We cannot always feel God's presence or understand his guidance. It takes faith to find God and faith to keep our eyes on Him to persevere to the end (Hebrews 11:13-16).
