You'll often come across chains and other items worn by your followers in dungeons or when you're on crusade. They are either in crates or you are rewarded for successful runs. There is no way to buy gifts in the cult of the Lamb. It might seem a little frustrating at first, but as you progress you'll start to accumulate a lot of gifts in your inventory.

Commandments of the Resurrection is a way of progressing your cult's relationship with death. You have to invest three times in this direction before you can get the option. These are the Nine Commandments stone fragments, for reference. When you choose a command, you unlock the Ritual of Resurrection.
As with all rites, you can perform the action at the altar in the temple. When you perform a resurrection ritual... well, your follower is resurrected. That's about the size of it. You get extra followers and they can carry on as if the death never happened.

Performing the ritual costs -15 faith and 75 dice, but in the grand scheme of things, this is easily recouped by using daily sermons or performing other rituals.
The ritual is also on a timer, so you'll have to wait to perform the second one, but later in the game you can get unlocks that shorten this duration. The tactic I used was to treat my cultist with a Brainwashing Ritual that I can unlock through Sozo, which won't affect your credibility for three days.
