Wrap A Square Or Rectangular Box
Some shapes and items are easier to wrap than others, but if you follow our step-by-step instructions, regardless of their shape, you'll be wrapping presents beautifully in no time. This shape is the easiest to wrap because you can create nice, clean creases. If you have odd-shaped items, such as toys, or unstructured items, such as shirts or sweaters, you can purchase gift boxes or shirt boxes to store the items for easier and cleaner packing.
Clean a flat surface and place a roll of wrapping paper face down on it so that you have enough room to open it. Place the box on the wrapping paper and fold the sides of the box to make sure it fits, then cut the paper.

Now that you have cut the paper, reposition the box so that it fits in the center of the gift paper. Take the cut end of the paper and fold it about an inch wide so that all sides are nice and straight and there are no wavy scissor lines on one side.
Take one side of the paper and fold it tightly over the box, then take the other side and do the same, overlapping the first layer of paper and securing it with a piece of regular or double-sided tape. Then take one of the ends showing the unfolded box and fold the top of the wrapping paper (the ends are overlapping) creating a nice, neat crease at the top.

Then do the same with the two sides of the wrapping paper, leaving only the bottom part, which now forms a triangle. Fold it over the three previously folded sides and tape it with a piece of tape, then do the same on the other side of the box.
Add a self-adhesive bow or wrap the gift with decorative ribbon to make it even more festive, or write the recipient's name or attach a cute gift tag with their name on it. Wrapping a cylindrical object like a perfume bottle or vase isn't as difficult as it seems, just follow the steps below and you'll have a well-wrapped gift in no time!
Start by placing the wrapping paper face down on a flat surface and place the cylindrical gift on top. Fold the sides of the wrapping paper over the gift to estimate how much paper you need, then cut it. Place your gift in the center of the cut paper, then make a one-inch crease on each side of the paper cut to make sure you have nice straight lines.

Hold the cylindrical gift up to one end of the paper and begin to twist until it is completely covered in the wrapping paper and tape the ends in place. Place the gift inside the wrapping paper so that it is in the center and there is about two inches of paper on both sides (depending on the diameter of the item).
Fold The Cut Edges
Starting at one end, carefully begin to fold the overhang of the wrapping paper over the base or top of the cylinder, making the folds as neat as possible. When you reach the end of the circle, tape a piece of tape over it to secure it.
Repeat the same process with the other end. Then take a piece of the same gift paper and circle it twice with the diameter of the cylindrical gift. Cut two circles and stick one to the top and the other to the bottom of the gift and cover the folds of the wrapping paper with double-sided adhesive.
For extra embellishment, add a self-adhesive bow to the top of the gift. Whether you're going to a housewarming party or a dinner with friends, a nice bottle of wine makes a great gift. Instead of just bringing a bottle, make the gift special by wrapping it.
As with the previous two wrapping methods, first place the gift wrap on a large, flat surface. Place the bottle and fold the sides of the wrapping paper over it to estimate how much paper you need, then cut. Make a one-inch crease on both ends of the cut wrapping paper so you have a clean edge, then lift the bottle up to one end and start rolling until all the wrapping paper is used up.
