Hospitality Spiritual Gift
When we open our hearts and our homes, we are biblically hospitable. If you're like most people, you probably think that Christian hospitality is like what you see in magazines. And if you're like me, you end up feeling frustrated and unfulfilled because you don't see the shiny pages of your hard work.
But don't lose heart: Christian hospitality is not just setting the table or perfect plates; it's work. The most important thing is to love others through Christ and to make people feel special. While not everyone is good at hosting events, some people have a natural ability to make guests feel special.
You may think that these host genes are inherited, but this is just a myth. Hospitality takes on new values and meanings when viewed from a Christian perspective. Some Christians have the spiritual gift of hospitality. The Bible tells us that every believer is given one spiritual gift for the purpose of building up God's church and serving the body of Christ.
Spiritual Gift Or Scriptural Mandate?
In other words, our gifts are not given to benefit ourselves, but to enrich others. We should serve the people around us, including our believers, relatives and friends. However, Romans 12:13 encourages us all to be hospitable, whether it is our spiritual gift or not.

In fact, the Greek word philozenia is actually a combination of two words - philos meaning "love" and zenos meaning "stranger". Although often translated as hospitality, philozenia means love of strangers. Above all, have true love within you, because love covers a multitude of sins.
Be nice to each other, don't complain. Like any gift you have received, use it to serve others, as good stewards of God's grace to the nations. St. Benedict supported the saying that "hospitality still maintains its popularity in living (Christian) traditions." . . In other words, if we love each other, God lives in us and His love is perfected in us and poured out to those we meet.
The first book of John makes it clear that when we love others, we show that we love God. He loves us completely and unconditionally. Likewise, when we love and serve others in our community by hosting guests, we are also serving God. Whether we have the spiritual gift of hospitality or not, it can be a part of our lives.

None of us deny that it is easier to entertain family and friends than a stranger on the street. But the New Testament teaches us that Christianity is a religion of open hands, open hearts, and open doors. When we open our hearts and our homes, we show Christian hospitality.
While the art of hospitality may be easy for some, it can be difficult for others. After all, it is not always easy to sacrifice, especially hard-earned profits. And like most things in life, hospitality is never perfect the first time. But don't stop trying.

When we do it over and over again, it becomes a comfortable part of our culture. It's all in the mind. Many people choose to focus on what they don't have instead of sharing God's blessings with them. So give it a try. Somewhere along the way, you'll realize that people aren't at your house because of an unlimited entertainment budget.
On the contrary, they consider themselves kind and considerate. This is the time when your home will be a sanctuary for those whom God has sent your way. Just think: if Christians were hospitable, they could play a big role in changing the world. After all, we are living miracles and have so much to share.

The bottom line is that God can use people like you and me to touch people's lives. It doesn't matter if we rent or own a house or apartment; Our homes are our own accessories. When we strive to be hospitable, we have the opportunity to touch the lives of each individual.
Be courageous: God has not only given you guidance, but He will also give you the love and wisdom to open your home to others. With a little planning and preparation—and a good prayer—you can be ready to share your home with the friends, neighbors, and even strangers God sends your way.
For me, eating was often social—a place to socialize with others. My mother cooked all the time and of course I wanted to give others the same experience that she had for our family. The dining room table in our house was a place where I always found a safe haven.
