They keep seeing this message, sending an email to all the addresses to report the problem. Hoover Gardens is our new favorite garden center. In September and October, Tom and I worked as hard as we could on outside projects. September and October aren't really planting months in Ohio, so the garden center was never busy when we visited.
Even better, Hoover Gardens is mostly outdoors, making it safer to visit. We tried several other garden centers in the area. Oakland Nurseries is big in the Columbus area, but it's always so busy. Elsewhere there was very limited supply at this time of year.
I was looking for a place similar to the Canton Road Garden Center in Akron. Big enough to have a good selection, but not too big to be crowded. We finally arrived at Hoover Gardens in Westerville. The place is bigger than it looks. Near the gift shop are plants and seasonal items.

But then, behind the gift shop, there are half a dozen greenhouses full of plants. There is also a large area with trees and shrubs. I managed to plant some perennials that will make you happy. We went there three different times to pick daffodil flowers and bulbs.
I believe every home needs some color from flowers, and I wanted that color, even if it was late in the season to plant. So we bought some daylilies, coreopsis, black-eyed Susans, asters, blanket flowers, and joe-pie weeds. We also picked up some beautiful lilies for John and Jack's house.

On our second visit we bought some chrysanthemums. Since we bought them in the fall, they won't survive the winter, but they added a nice pop of color to the front and back decks. The third visit was a quick trip for daffodil bulbs to be planted between the first frost and the first snow.
Seeing flowers blooming at home makes me happy. I love the pops of color and the satisfaction of growing things. I'm glad Hoover Gardens is nearby, ready to supply me with the plants I need.
