Can I buy or take tea from you personally? All our teas are available online or in our stores and boutiques. We do not have a brick and mortar location to sell tea to the public. I tried your chai latte at the cafe and fell in love - do you sell it?

So go ahead and save. Our teas will be gone. We recommend a shelf life of up to 2 years for flavor and freshness. The safety of our tea is based on a standard dose of 3 cups of tea per day, steeped for 2 minutes in 8 oz of water.
All of our herbal and spice ingredients meet California's Prop 65 testing for heavy metals, and our fake coffee is third-party tested for caffeine content (it's officially labeled "decaffeinated!"). This is a difficult question, because it depends on the freshness of the tea and how it is made.
But here's the bottom line: We source certified organic herbs so farm workers and their families aren't exposed to harmful chemicals, and to protect soil health and water quality around the world. All our herbal and spice ingredients are also tested for heavy metals. Direct trade means one or two degrees of connection with your farmer.

PLA (polylactic acid) is a vegetable-based material that mimics petroleum-based plastics. Our tea bags are made from 100% compostable woven mesh called Soilon. Soilon is PLA derived from corn starch (but does *not* contain corn - it's an isolated chemical, polyacetic acid, non-allergenic), and is completely biodegradable: a safe, non-toxic material that's perfect for filtering herbs.
