Hartford Hospital Gift Shop
All our services are available at this location. CTTRANSIT buses make regular stops at or near Connecticut Children's Medical Center. For current schedule call 860.525.9181 (TDD/TTI: 860.272.8196). Nineteen major airlines fly to nearby Bradley International Airport (Hartford/Springfield). Taxis are available from the airport to Connecticut for children at a fixed price.
AMTRAK trains stop daily at Union Station in Hartford. Taxis are available from the train station. For schedule information, call AMTRAK at 800.872.7245. The visitor garage is located at 85 Seymour Street, across from the entrance to Connecticut Children's Infirmary. There are disabled parking spaces on each level.
Working hours are from Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. Handicap and wheelchair parking is also located near the main entrance on Washington Street. Garage passes are available for purchase for families with children who will be staying with children in Connecticut for an extended period of time.
Getting Here
Cards can be purchased at the box office (2C on the second floor) or in the Hartford Hospital Gift Shop during regular business hours. Garage access cards are $20 per week or $65 per month, plus a $10 deposit, which is refunded when the card is returned.

Traveling By Bus
Connecticut Children's is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve access to health care for all children. Connecticut Children's Medical Center's main campus is located at 282 Washington Street in Hartford, Connecticut. Connecticut Children's will provide meals for your child while he or she is in the hospital.
You can bring food for your child after checking with your child's nurse. Food for family members is not provided, but is available at various locations. One World Cafe is located on the ground floor of Connecticut Children's Main Campus at 282 Washington Street, Hartford.

Raitheon Technologies Family Resource Center is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our patients and families through family-centered care, education and support. All patients and families are welcome to use the Raitheon Technologies Family Resource Center and its services during their stay at Connecticut Children's Center.
At Connecticut Children's, your TV will be used for more than entertainment. Your healthcare team will use the TV to keep you informed about your child's health. You can also make requests and give feedback through the TV. The Connecticut Kids Entertainment Package will provide access to your child's favorite TV shows, movies, games and the Internet.
Traveling By Plane
During your appointment, be sure to ask your care team how to use all of these features. Family kitchens are located in each medical/surgical unit, NICU family lounge, and PICU family suites. Each kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, microwave and refrigerator. Label the food with your name and date.
All unmarked food is discarded every three days. You will also find an ice and water machine. Please help yourself. Drinks and snacks can be found in vending machines located on the ground floor of Connecticut Children's Main Campus at 282 Washington St., Hartford, when you turn left from the elevators.
There might be a vending machine closer. Ask your child's nurse for instructions. Many local restaurants will deliver to children from Connecticut. Your child's nurse can provide you with takeaway menus and help you arrange delivery. A nursing room and breast pumps are available. We also have lactation consultants to help you.

Traveling By Train
Medical/surgical wards and ICUs have wireless access to your personal devices. The Boccaccio Family Gift Shop is located on the 2nd floor and is stocked with toys, stuffed animals, craft kits, card games and coloring books. We can deliver these gifts to the nursery, just ask a member of the gift shop team.
We also offer toiletries, greeting cards, Connecticut logo clothing, snacks and more. The Boccaccio Family Gift Shop honors Santo and Mariana Boccaccio, who came from humble beginnings to provide a better life for their children. It reflects the desire of all parents and grandparents who bring their children to Connecticut Children's to help them achieve their healthiest, happiest and best future possible.
Washers and dryers for family use are located in the NICU and PICU family bedrooms and on the 6th floor. Employees will be happy to show you where they are. We supply detergent (kindly donated by Connecticut Children's Foundation) if you wish to use it.
You can purchase daily newspapers, such as The Hartford Courant, at the Friends Gift Shop located on the second floor. Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford-Rocky Hill has a negotiated corporate rate for Connecticut children guests. The hotel is an all-suite property located off I-91, exit 23, ten minutes south of Hartford.
