Gus does not visit the resort on holidays or check-in days at the Harvey Clinic. Below is Gus' schedule, in order of highest to lowest priority. For example, if it is raining, this schedule will override all other schedules. Gus hires Emily to help out at the salon part time.

The townspeople love getting presents, and Gus is no exception. If you want to get to know him or develop a friendship with him, giving a gift is a great way to do that. The best thing to do is to know his schedule so that you can reach him easily.
For all the people you meet in Stardew Valley, they have an empty bar of ten hearts that you can fill when you get to know them better and even start to enjoy each other. You can do this in two main ways: (1) talk to them daily, and (2) send them up to two gifts per week.

Each gift will have different Friendship Points depending on whether they like, love, neutral, dislike or dislike what you are giving. Birthday gifts will have a (x8) multiplier, and Winter Star gifts will have a (x5) multiplier for Friendship Points. The Movie Theater is a brand new addition to the Stardew Valley community.

You can now watch a movie once a week alone or with guests. This building is unlocked by completing the Community Center or the Joja Community Upgrade. Your little town is so much fun! Gus may be a hard worker, but sometimes he has a little fun.
He is more than happy to be invited to the cinema to watch his favorite movies with you. If someone in town is invited to watch a movie they like, you get 200 friendship points, 100 friendship points with someone they like, and nothing with someone they don't like.
Be sure to check back often to see what's showing! Movies change based on the season and when you unlock the theater, so try to catch them when your favorite movies are showing. Just like in the movie, the snacks in the commissary are rotated randomly.
Giving a villager a snack they like will earn you 50 friendship points, 25 snacks for a snack they like, and no points for a snack they don't like. As long as you avoid things they don't like, you're fine! Befriending the townspeople by talking to them and giving them your favorite gifts increases your friendship level with them.
