God Will Make Room For Your Gift
Proverbs 18:16 says: "A man's gift gives him a place, and leads him to the elders; I am curious about words. According to Webster's dictionary, the word "room" means "the size of the living space or space available for something." If a gift can give you space, it means that it has the ability to provide or awaken exactly what is needed to fulfill our potential in various areas, including work, family and money.
I am very blessed to have people of strong faith in my life. They have stepped out of faith and used the gifts that God has given them and are now living a successful life. I know single parents who received gifts in the hair, makeup and fashion industries.
They have invested in that gift and now they can support their lives and live their dreams, because that gift has made money flow. I know others who have musical talent. He never went to music school or was trained, but he gives Juilliard graduates a run for their money when it comes to singing or playing instruments because their gift of music is a gift from God.
Believe God
I also have a testimony of what God can do if you use the gifts He has given you. Sixteen years ago God told me that he gave me the gift of writing and he wanted me to write because that was his desire for my life.

I took that revelation and never looked back. Then one day God surprised me with the opportunity to write for Urban Faith and share my gift with the world. It is a great privilege to do so and I thank and respect him for this opportunity.
But how can you know if what you have is a gift that God has given you? And beyond that, how do you ignite your gift to give you space? Very simple. It's not limited to the things listed below, but it's a good start: God always shows you thoughts and gifts inside of you that are bigger than you.
It's usually bigger than what you dreamed or hoped for, and that's good because it means you want him to fulfill it. All you have to do is trust and believe God and what He has for you. Planning involves writing down a vision and an action plan consists of how things will be done.
Believe God
You can't just wake up and hope that your gift will give you a place. You need a plan. Do your research and find out who has been successful using the gifts you have. So be patient and prayerful as you plan and execute, because your time is not God's time.
Seek Him first and He will guide you. Having a great idea and doing it is great, but in order to be able to do it well and stay grounded when your gift allows you, you need to have a mindset to learn. Feel free to seek advice, ask those who are talented and successful in your area of expertise, and listen to their advice.

People ruin success and achievements because they didn't want to listen. Successful people listen. If you wait for others to believe in you more than you believe in yourself, you will wait a long time. Insecurity is an obstacle to success. If you don't believe you are gifted, then you will go on living without realizing your true potential.
If you struggle with fear, I ask you to ask yourself, "What would be the worst thing if I gave it a chance?" It's time to look within, step out in faith, and let your gift give you space. You only live once. What to lose?

Be Willing To Learn And Be Taught
