Following up on my last post on Holiday Wrapping Ideas with Cricut Infusible Ink , I thought I'd share a great inexpensive way to make some unique DIY gift wrapping...lunch bags. Standard blue lunch bags are the perfect size for packing lots of things, and some paper can take them from the soak to the bakery!

This gingerbread house paper bag uses cardboard, a lunch bag, and a glue stick to make a little holiday house. It all started with a simple snow roof and some rough cutting, but I ended up using my Cricut poza to cut out door, tree and window designs.
No fear though! You can hand cut fun ornaments to make gift bags that look like winter houses. Read the full tutorial! I am very happy with the end result of these gift bags. I end up using them to make Thanksgiving decorations that I share with my family every year.

That's one of our traditions! I forced that tradition on Andrew's family now haha! I doubt anyone thinks so. These lunch bags were the perfect size for holiday decorations and when you put them all under the tree or on the table, it looks like a village.
Required Cookies & Technologies
You may have to make these homemade bread bags every year now. Below I've attached all the parts I used to make homemade bread gift bags in the Cricut line. However, that shouldn't stop you from making these cute gift bags if you don't have a cutting machine.
Using simple hand-cut rectangles or triangles will still create the bakery of your dreams. Also, feel free to add stamps, paints, glitter or stickers to make your special moment even more special. I mean, HELLO, crafting is supposed to be fun! Here's how to get started making your own gingerbread house using lunch bags!

Step 1: Fold the top of the lunch bag about 4-5 inches. Fold a piece of white cardboard in half. Cut to 5-1/2 inches. Then use the scissors to cut the bottom edges into a full line to make it look like a snowflake. It should be long enough to cover half of your bag (about 4-1/4 inches in my case).
Step 2: I used my Cricut joy to cut out all the pieces you see on the gift card for the bakery. If you can't find a cutting machine, you can easily cut things by hand. For example, the rectangular shape of the door, the white window with black lines on the window and the simple triangular shape of the Christmas tree on the window.

Step 3: Attach the pieces with a glue stick. Then fold the front of the bag to make a little house. I added a small row of snowflakes to the bottom of the bag. You can also paint other materials, such as furniture! Step 4: Put your stuff in the gingerbread house bags!

I recommend collecting in small cases first if it's a big deal. Then roll it up and place it on top of the house. You can use a dab of glue to hold it in place, but it's not necessary. Step 5: Finally, drill two holes about an inch from the top of the house, leaving at least an inch between them.
The holes must go through all the parts. Place a small piece or through a ring and tie a bow. Can you imagine how easy it is to give a gift?! Maybe I say that a lot...but always always! And yes, that's a cat in the window of one of the bakery bags.
