As part of my 31 day challenge, I tackled the closet I've always dreaded...the hall closet. It doesn't just include trash, including cleaning supplies, extra toiletries, towels, and board games, as well as all the wrapping paper, ribbons, gift bags, and more. So I decided enough was enough!

I wouldn't spend another day praying that a piece of paper wouldn't fly at me when I opened the door. I looked around hoping to find something that would work. My only criteria is that the wrapping paper stays in the closet and doesn't move around the house.

They were inspired by a Better Homes and Gardens post here . This would be perfect for me! But on a limited budget, I couldn't afford the Elfa storage system. A quick trip to Target and I found a cheaper version of a door rack within my budget: the ClosetMaid 8-Tier Adjustable Door Rack here .

For $35 I have everything I need to do this project…until my husband comes home and tells me we have a hollow core door and need a hollow core anchor screw or something. So she took on the project and instead of using a door hook, she attached it to the door and it turned out beautiful!

Without using all the shelves provided, I managed to create the perfect solution for storing wrapping paper above the door. Now I have wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbons, labels, scissors, ribbon and bows all in one place. Clean and easy to access. And I'm so in love!

It really helps me remember what I need to keep and we have so many! I have to clean out a lot of bags so I don't have to store them elsewhere, but most of the time I have everything I need to wrap presents.

I liked it! I really need to get my house in order. I never seem to find the time. Doesn't that always happen? Maybe I should take up the challenge. I love the idea of ​​keeping all of these packing materials together. Mine is usually in five different places and it's bad.

If you're anything like me, you have a lot of gift bags. And with the gift bag comes tons and tons of tissue paper! I needed a solution but didn't want to spend money on a fancy organizer. So I adapted this to the back of my seasonal storage closet.

This solution is magical… and cheap to make! I used a regular out-of-door shoe organizer (also available at Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, and other retailers!) and made a wrapping paper organizer in about an hour. This project requires quite a bit of sewing, but the end result is worth it.

As I said, I have a lot of gift bags and needed something to hold them, so I made pockets on the bottom row of shoe organizers to hold the gift bags. With your fabric, cut the fabric three inches wider than the organizer. Then cut both sides at an angle so that one end is the width of the adjuster and one end is 3 inches wider than the adjuster.

It looks unusual, but it gives you the right amount of fabric to work with when it's time to stretch. The length of the fabric is up to you, but when folded in half it should be large enough to fit your gift bag inside.
