If we're being honest, we probably spend more time shopping on the beach. We love Barefoot Landing, Broadway on the Beach, Tanger Outlets, and we never forget driving to Calahan, CA to browse the Christmas stores.

I found the lovely red dishes at the Roses shop on the highway. 17 in North Myrtle Beach a few years ago. If you're not familiar with Rose's, it's a discount store like Walmart, but it's been around a lot longer. Barefoot Landing offers great shopping in North Myrtle Beach.

Enjoy the beautiful setting along the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway. This is a huge place so be prepared to walk. There are also plenty of restaurants if you need a break. Not only are they locally owned and operated, they've been growing since 1948. Boulineau's started as a small grocery store and has grown to 85,000 square feet on two floors.

They have the honor of being one of the most unique grocers in the country. The Barnacle Gift Shop is on 2 floors and includes a jewelry department. Find all the essentials for the beach, including boogie boards, swimsuits, Rainbow®, Reef® and Sanuk® shoes, and everything you need to spend a day at the beach.

Ocean Treasures Resort Wear sells boutique-style clothing and accessories. You also have a good selection of sandals and flip flops. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but make sure you check their site for hours as they close for a short time between each meal.

Elizabeth's cafe offers hot meals such as fried chicken, as well as a soup and salad bar. Dining with a sea view. The Dairy Hut Ice Cream Shop offers soft serve cones, milkshakes, sun glasses and frozen yogurts. In addition, Dairy Hut offers hot dogs, nachos, grills and sandwiches.

You guys are sure to have a lot of fun. Technically just across the state line, Callahan is about 10 miles from North Myrtle Beach in Callahan, NC. The 35,000 square foot gift shop worth a short drive is worth a visit. You pass thrift stores and flea markets by driving.

Two of them are in Myrtle Beach. The difference at the Barefoot Landing location is a beautifully decorated tree with gold ornaments studded with Swarovski crystals.
