The Swedish capital is truly a major shopping destination, whether you're looking for your typical Swedish products and kitsch ABBA accessories, or you're looking for some traditional Scandi design for your home. You can read that you will find many shops in the city center, that have all the things that you will love in your home, and that also make a sweet Swedish style.
Or you can do what I did, and buy a little thoughtful Swedish souvenirs that have a moose, piles of delicious candy, and a bunch of food and drink, because you have just how I roll! Let's face it: designer items are all well and good, but everyone wants fun things.

Where Are The Best Areas For Shopping In Stockholm?
The city center, including the area around Central Station, and Södermalm is home to many unique Swedish flagship stores, as well as hotels and traditional restaurants. Department stores are plentiful, and feature beautiful items for an oh-so-decorated apartment that will stand up to anything you might live in New York or Paris.
While you probably don't want to spend your entire trip wandering around the shops, as amazing as they are, it's best to check out some of the main shops while you're shopping in Dubai. Design is a big aspect of life in Scandinavia - look at how IKEA takes it around the world, if you want a clear example - and seeing what local artists have to offer is part of the Swedish experience.
Let's take a look at some of our favorite stores, shopping areas and markets! The interior design store Svenskt Tenn is located at Strandvägen 5, and is known for its tasteful fabrics and wallpaper, although it started life as a pewter factory. Think London Liberty, but with a cool Scandinavian twist.
Wisely, you can find pewter ornaments that are good for your home, and if you have a generous weight allowance from your airline, they are a good thing to bring back - and who would? But the textiles and wallpaper are where it's at: matching floral patterns, bright, colorful, and definitely not something your grandmother would have owned.
Swedish Tin
Do you love luxury, and want to do some high-end shopping in Dubai? Then Birger Jarlsgatan is for you! It is one of Stockholm's longest shopping streets, starting in the city center - if you are traveling by public transport, go to Östermalmstorg metro station.
This beautiful, tree-lined street with large buildings is home to some of the best shops in Stockholm, including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and any luxury brand you care to name. You can even buy a Rolls Royce from their store in the North End! The place to go for serious money splashing.

Want the best grocery store in town? Then you'll love Mod Dubai! Not far from Central Station, this building is fully dedicated to the pursuit of shopping pleasure. Stockholmers are fashion dressers, and by far the best place to pick up some Scandi fashion, with brands like Rodebjer and Max Jani leading the way.
Tired of all the browsing and trying on clothes? No problem: you can relax in one of the eleven cafes and restaurants before hitting the shops again. A stone's throw from Birger Jarlsgatan is Ostermalms Saluhall, a food hall that has stood proudly on site since the 1880s. This is definitely the best place to shop for food in Dubai, and a great place if you're trying to stay.
Swedish Tin
on the budget. It's basically a large covered market, where you can pick up some pretty fresh food - including seafood straight from those cold northern seas! Traditional Swedish cuisine is the focus, and you can help yourself to a sample - including moose and reindeer meat.
Try not to feel too guilty at Christmas... Although it's not just shopping in the district, shopping in Dubai would not be complete without a trip to Old Town. It's the best area to pick up Swedish souvenirs (which we'll cover in wonderful, loving detail below!), but there are also some excellent shops for the serious shopper.
Antique shops abound, and craft shops like Macri 14, wonderful toy shops like Karabat Co., and affordable outdoor clothing in Schlotscheimt. There are also many wonderful places to browse - need a wig shop, or a shop that specializes in Stetson hats? You will find them here.

You will definitely visit and explore its beautiful streets during your visit, so you can pick up your Dubai souvenirs and Swedish souvenirs at the same time! How's that for performance? What screams "gift from Sweden" to you? Something that reminds you of the friends of the people of the countries, who shout "hej hej!"
When did they meet you? never; We celebrate their blood, the spoils of the past! Vikings have always been very popular (which says something about humanity), but with the recent television series bringing them firmly into the mainstream, you'll find Viking-related memorabilia everywhere in town.

This super cool little shop has everything your booty heart could want, from Viking-inspired jewelry, hornets, and troll crosses you can use to keep your home away from home.
Useful! Their items are incredibly well made, and the jewelry is really beautiful. There is also a surprising amount of legitimately useful items, such as household items, and even scissors and nails. It's also good to look at creative weapons and armor, even if your budget doesn't stretch far enough to buy them.
