Gift Of Lights Texas

Very cool trail with lots of parking and easy access. I went to the NASCAR and IndyCar races... read more attended the Xfinity race on Saturday and the Cup race on Sunday. The races were great. Well... Read More I took the wife to the Gift of Lights tour at TMS and the boys (and girls!) were so good at the show!

We arrived around 7:30 on a Wednesday and it was a very easy tour with little traffic. It was easy to get in (take the first entrance west of TX 114 and follow the guides), we bought tickets ($25 per car) and filter glasses (we got snowman glasses so all the lights make a picture of a snowman. !) and off we went.

Folks, if you're a NASCAR fan, Santa is in the XFinity garage. Worth the trip! Three years and never disappointed. They know how to get things done. Tons of bathrooms, tons of concession stands - the lines are never this long. Parking is excellent - and free.

It takes a while for them to come out, but they do a really great job. Took friends to the Speedway to see the facilities. They called me three times in the morning to make sure we could get a tour and a trail ride.

That every time is not a problem. We arrived on time and paid, went to the van where our tour was to start and were immediately told that there would be no tour as it was closed. It was very frustrating because we kept checking because we had friends from England coming over and they really wanted to do it.

I'm not sure I'd take anyone else there without a strong commitment to continue. We'd walk out any other day if that happened. The rest of the tour was good, but very disappointed, we didn't go to the track. I visited TMS for NASCAR and INDY.

Lots of parking, lots of walking, lots of fun! The food vendors inside leave a lot to be desired, but the events make up for it. TMS is a great place to experience racing, and if you can only attend one NASCAR race at TMS, pick the November race.

About Texas Motor Speedway Gift Of Lights

This is the 8th race of the championship each year and the level of competition is much higher with the finalist competing on the list of four at Homestead. A great selection of food, fantastic shirts and collectibles, and a variety of seats you can buy make it affordable.

I love the whole experience. We stopped by last week when we were in college. And boys will be boys. We drove up to the track just to have a look. One of the workers flagged us down when he saw us running. He told us he had stopped by the on-site gift shop.

He told us about the tour and said that he would take you for a walk along the trail. Walk the path. Oh yeah! The tour showed us the track, the sky boxes and the track. Please call to arrange transportation on the day. A fun stop and a real treat.

Gift Of Lights Schedule

I went to the NASCAR and IndyCar races... read more attended the Xfinity race on Saturday and the Cup race on Sunday. The races were great. Well... read on big disappointment! My wife and I went with friends on Friday night. First it was $30.00.

It is quite expensive to travel by car. Then we started driving. The first screens are so close to the road that they really weren't fun to watch. All we could see was the frame that held the lights. When we were under the stands, ours were still very close.

They were now attached to concrete posts or concession stands. Because of this, it was very difficult to understand what the subjects were. Like light displays, distance is needed to put scenes into perspective. It was a mixture of frames, concrete and lighting. The best part was the display of water from the Gate Church as it went up.

Simply because there was distance between him and the road. Unfortunately, the part with the boats and fish was also hard to make out because we were so close. My family has been going to BLORA just outside of Fort Hood since it started. Those in charge of Texas Motor Speedway should go down south and take some lessons from the folks at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area when it comes to light displays.

Overall, I'd say skip Texas Motor Speedway, go to Ardmore, OK; Tyler, Texas; Or Lake Belton! It was a great place. Pleasant and large viewing area. Moving around the facility was very easy. The traffic after the race was terrible. A lot is being built at the BEST NASCAR racetrack in Texas.

Fly or drive to the ultimate racing event. If you sit in the middle of the stands, the wind and car noise will hit you like a ton of bricks. I checked this off my list! The best friend and family event ever. Bring earplugs, but racing radio is better for hearing the action on the air.

Many suns and heats are also prepared with an ice chest, water and a hat. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but my husband and son talked my daughter and I into going to the races! We had a ball!! It was so much fun! We rented ear protection from the venue and it gives you headphones while you play.

The man sitting next to us took us under his wing and explained everything we couldn't understand. It was a good healthy party, with iconic foods like funnel cakes, corn dogs and giant turkey drumsticks! I would definitely recommend this place, it was clean, with good staff and the view was amazing!
