He loved it!! I got this idea from this site about 6 years ago. Of course, I got him a present that he opened later and needed those batteries! He always talks about this gift. It's a sweet idea. I think I will use it this year!!!
A great idea for families with small children. There is always something that needs a battery. And now my seventeen year old self asks me "Do you have any triple A's?" My kids don't get the joke, but the batteries are great. Santa left them in the stockings last year.

My 5 year old told me the other day that he is going to ask Santa for more batteries this year. I think batteries are the most important food to buy in December, like milk and bread. Even if they end up with a few that people don't "want" at the moment, they go into a special box and are used up over the course of the year.
