I always want my gifts to be thoughtful and personal for the recipient. Believe it or not, there are some people who don't like junky, rusty, metal, vintage, thrifty things like you and I do So today I'm going to share how to make inexpensive gift baskets and fun candy dishes with Dollar items
Tree. I have put together three gift baskets with different themes. One gift basket is for nursing home residents, one gift basket is for innovators, and one gift basket is a gift for anyone who loves toenails. I don't know about you, but there's something about gift baskets.
I love it when I get a gift basket. It's fun to discover the good stuff inside. As you look at these ideas, think about the next gift-giving opportunity you'll have and how you can customize the basket for the recipient. Remember, these curves are just to give you an idea.

You can customize a gift basket for your child's teacher, your neighbor, the postman (or lady), your grandchild, and more. The Dollar Tree is filled with beautiful items along with practical items that can make a gift basket unique. The first thing you need to put together is…..a basket….of any kind.

Or you can put your items in a bag. You can find very cool bags even large gift bags. Consider what you can put in the basket and choose the right size. Or another idea could be to collect all the items you want to put in the basket and then select the basket.
There are all kinds of things that you can use as a "basket". Some ideas; Wooden pots, metal bags, dishwashers, baskets (!), large plastic bowls, plastic bags, sandbags, gift bags, Chinese take-out containers, etc. This is a basket for the residents of the nursing home.
I chose a large pink plastic basket with handles. You can store many things in a small container, such as toiletries, snacks and photos, so the basket is practical. I stocked up on toiletries, lotion, hand cream, nail polish, room freshener, twine, infinity scarf, wall hanging (thanks for being you), hand mirror and pocket mirror and a Lei for fun!

The total value of this gift basket is $13 plus tax. I put everything in the filing cabinet and arrange and rearrange. I am not satisfied. Because the basket is deep, everything is located at the bottom of the basket. I found some wrapping paper at the store and put it in the basket.
You can also use shredded paper. Don't know what to call it, but you need something to pull the gift basket together like a string. Use towels, scarves, shop towels, washcloths, etc. to cover the bottom and sides of the basket. This adds softness and something to any gift type to match.

I put the Infinity Scarf on top of the paper. Isn't that a beautiful design?? I am always amazed at what I find at the dollar store. (This is not a sponsored post) Start with the largest items and lean them to one side of the basket or stack them from the bottom.

I treat myself to a pedicure now and then. What about you? In this case, I used Lei to look at the gift basket. You should include structured items in the basket.
