I'm sharing some of my favorite ways to make Christmas extra magical for the kids in your household, plus of course, I'm sharing my free printable Santa tags to use as much as you like!

It's a cute way to get kids excited on Christmas morning when they go to open their presents and see a label straight from the North Pole and Santa himself. When you're a kid, you think there can't be anything more special than Christmas. That is until you become a parent and see the same joy on your own children's faces.

The feeling is so amazing! Becoming a parent brought me back to my childhood. My parents were exceptional at keeping the Christmas magic going as long as possible. They didn't do anything too unique or special, but they managed to never lose the true identity of Santa Claus.

Creating A Magical Christmas For Your Family

Every year we put cookies and milk on the table and every Christmas we woke up to nothing but crumbs and an empty glass on the table. Somehow they managed to sneak out after I was in bed and filled the lounge with presents. Our living room was covered in large packed boxes of all shapes and sizes and our socks were knocked out.

To this day, I don't know where my mother kept all those things. Not to mention the year they built a trampoline and swing in the yard overnight. I was so amazed by Santa Claus and his efforts to gather them in the yard. How on earth did they get on the sled?

The funniest thing was that I was the only child in the house at the time. My brother still lived at home, but he was in his teens or early twenties before he moved out. My sister and her husband were coming for the day and Christmas was a delight spent on an incredible feast and swimming in the pool all day.

Try not to laugh too hard, but I would have been at least 11 when I found out the truth about Santa... Yeah, pretty embarrassing I guess, but kudos to my parents for a job well done. He was talking to a friend from school when the tragic news broke.

We save our presents for Christmas morning and let their grandparents give them on Christmas Eve...via Santa.

We give our girls mostly practical gifts, not toys, because other family members are usually looking for fun things!
