When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, there were many additional costs that I hadn't considered. Fortunately, there are many organizations that offer free things to cancer survivors.

Cancer patients and their loved ones go through enough difficulties. So it's great that there are so many websites that offer special discounts or freebies for cancer patients and their families. Many companies offer free products to help cancer survivors live better and happier lives.
Below you'll find cancer organizations that offer free vacations, free wigs, and free services for cancer survivors. Some of these sites offer financial assistance, financial assistance, or legal assistance. There is so much going on with cancer and it's good to have people out there who want to help.
Cancer patients can receive free makeup and cosmetics. Look Good Feel Better (formerly the American Cancer Society) offers free makeup to cancer survivors. Before I started chemotherapy for breast cancer, I attended one of these sessions. Look Good Feel Better is a two-hour workshop that provides advice to cancer patients on hair loss, nail care, makeup, clothing and more.
Cancer Free Stuff!
I came home with a big cosmetic bag full of all kinds of cosmetics. Unfortunately, the Look Good Feel Better program is no longer funded by the American Cancer Society. Very few cancer centers currently offer this program. Contact you to see if it's still available.
Also note that these programs can also benefit from donations. For more local information, visit the Look Good Feel Better web browser. Live! Virtual seminars are available through partner cancer centers. The American Cancer Society gave me two free wigs to use during chemo. If you're looking for free money for cancer patients, check out this free cancer fundraiser. In the United States, The Cancer Card Xchange offers cancer patients free gift cards for gas, restaurants, shopping, movies, and more. The Cancer Financial Assistance Coalition (CFAC) is a national group of organizations that provide financial assistance to patients.
CFAC provides a searchable database of financial resources for cancer patients. CancerCare provides limited financial assistance for co-pays, transportation, home care and childcare. Cancercare is a non-profit organization that helps breast cancer patients share the cost of insurance coverage through chemotherapy or other treatments. There are certain qualifications you must meet, but if you don't meet the requirements, Cancercare will refer you to other programs that can help.
The Sisters Network (www.sistersnetworkinc.org/programs.html) offers free services for women affected by breast cancer, including copays, cohabitation, implants, and prostheses. Bags of Hope were created by Elizabeth Baldo-Downs, a breast cancer survivor. During her treatment, Elizabeth received a similar bag. It was so important to her that after her treatment she started Bags of Hope!

Free Wigs From The American Cancer Society
That's a great idea! Cleaning for a Reason provides three free cleaning services for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Unfortunately, when I applied again in 2009, it was not available in my area. Camp Kesem is amazing! Last year, our children went to Kesem camp for the first time.
Camp Kesem offers a free week-long summer camp for children of parents with cancer. There are several volunteer-run camps across the country, including 3,000 college student leaders. If you're looking for a cancer-free getaway, check out all of these options. Little Pink Houses of Hope offers free beach resorts to breast cancer patients and their families.
The Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) provides free services to those affected by breast cancer. BCRC is an excellent diagnostic aid to help you live with cancer during and after treatment.
