Faith As A Gift From God

God is working to make sure His people have the faith they need! God provides everything except personal decisions—even in the midst of personal decisions, He pokes us in the ribs, nudges us there, and then, guides us in the right direction. Once he sets his mind to something, he doesn't give up easily.

Up until this point, the Israelites had to make some decisions about their salvation, but everything went well. In fact, they did nothing but watch events unfold like spectators in a great drama. Although their lives have been severely affected, they have done little to exercise their freedom.

God did almost everything, but as the tenth plague approached, the Israelites were forced to decide whether or not to actively participate in God's plan. John W. God's plan Salvation Matthew 17:19-21 Lack of faith is a sign of lack of prayer life. Jesus Christ taught how to deal with unbelief - prayer and fasting. Humanly, how do we gain trust, faith, and loyalty? Can we trust those we don't know? Can we be faithful to strangers?

We develop trust with others through repeated interactions with them over time—intimate and frequent interactions. When we get to know them, when we see them in their work, when we see their character, we reach a period where we can have confidence and trust in them and their behavior.

Isn't that different from God? Prayer provides the recurring and abiding relationship with God that we need to know Him. It activates the steps leading to faith in God who is ready to give us the gift of faith (Ephesians 2:8). People who pray become faithful people, not the other way around.

Hebrews 11:6 expresses this idea: "Except by faith one can do nothing to gain His favor; but those who approach God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Note the conditions in this verse: God is not a rewarder of all men, but "those who earnestly seek Him."

The gift of living faith comes from diligently, actively, and fervently seeking Him. Prayer is a great tool for seeking God, studying, fasting, and using the knowledge gained according to His will—practical Christian living and success. Those who demonstrate their zeal in doing these things will be rewarded with faith to overcome (I John 5:4).

The Sabbath is an outward sign of God's people (Exodus 31:13, 17). However, a person can be a Sabbath keeper without a real relationship with God. Are there other signs that only God can see? Yes, Zechariah 13:9 shows that it is a prayer: "They shall call upon my name, and I will answer them."

I will say: You are my people, and he will answer: 'Yahweh, you are our God. !'” (current English version). Those who are weak in religion have weak faith (Matthew 17:19-21). Those with weak faith are sinners (Romans 14:23) and are promised death (Ezekiel 18:20; Romans 6:23).

This is why fervent prayer is so important as a solid foundation, especially in the last days. 1 Peter 4:7 says: "The end of all things is near; therefore be wise and sober in prayer." Pat Higgins Always Praying (Part Two) Related Topics: Faith |
