The ground floor location is opposite baggage claim and is open to the general public. This store is open to the traveling public and you will need a ticket to purchase. If you see items in our shop above and cannot get them on the street, please give us a call and we can arrange shipping.

PETERSBURG — In the early days of the season, when the Rays kept winning games by at least four innings and high-leverage situations were hard to come by, Pete Fairbanks earned a nickname from his fellow Rays: "Rarebanks. He
has seen a bit more work since then, making three saves in his last five appearances. Seeing an opponent score against Fairbanks, right? That's rare. On Saturday, Fairbanks broke the franchise record streak scoreless previously held by reliever J.P. Howell, who went 27 1/3 innings without allowing a run between June 14 and Aug. 30, 2012. The right-hander extended that record to 29 innings with a perfect frame in the 4
1 on Sunday against the White Sox. "I haven't really thought about it," Fairbanks said Saturday. "It's definitely something that's a fun little accomplishment." According to STATS LLC, Fairbanks' hitting streak is the longest longest active in the majors and the longest since the Yankees' Clay Holmes went 31 1/3 innings without allowing a run from April 9 to June 18, 2022. The streak lasted so long Fairbanks said he doesn't remember when it started.

It was last July 25, his third appearance this year. After starting the season on the disabled list with a strained hamstring, he gave up three runs in the first two games. Since then, he has not conceded in 29 appearances. During that stretch, Fairbanks held opponents to a .124/.175/.124 (12-for-97) slash line with 41 strikeouts, six walks and a 0.62 WHIP.
He hasn't allowed an extra-base hit since July 17 of last year. Almost 40 percent of the hitters he faced struck out during that time, and most of those who put the ball in play hit it on the ground. . "Things are unbelievable, and so is the competition," Rays pitching staff Drew Rasmussen said.
But I think the most impressive part is the consistency. ... His ability to have his body and mind ready every day is incredible. He just reaps the rewards of what he does, day after day. "Thank God we paid the boy. It's incredible. … If we get to the ninth round, we have a chance to win almost every game when he gets the ball.”
Fairbanks credited his success to a new emphasis on hitting and credited hitting coach Kyle Snyder for helping him make adjustments every time he pitched. out of trouble..
