Cyberpunk The Gift
This is a walkthrough for the side job, Gift. This is brought to you by T-Bug as V returns home from his first big gig in Night City. If you're ready to take on this side job, visit Watson's Kabuki. If you've completed the main project "The Ride", you'll already be here.
easy Otherwise, you can take a quick trip to Kabuki Market. Enter the large round Kabuki Market building and go up the stairs to the Netrunner store. Open the shop door and talk to Yoko upon entering. V tells Yoko that he is there to get something from T-Bug.
Yoko says T-Bug has a free demon ready for you. It can't be better than free. In the Saves menu, select Ping QuickHack (it has a yellow exclamation mark in the corner) to get it for free. Exit that menu, then pull up your list menu.

From there go to the Cyberdeck menu. Equip (or "upload") ping. Close the menu. It's time to scan. Scan the cameras in the Netrunner shop marked by waypoints. Use if you have optioned ping in the hacking menu. After the quick hack upload is complete, you will see a line on your local access point.

approach and jack in. Now, you have to do the little hacking minigame you saw earlier. There are no enemies here, so Ping gives you the "amount of Eurodollars, components, and / or quickhacks" shown in the Datamine_V1 section of the screen. You only need to upload sequence 1C, 55.
If you choose the wrong matrix of code, don't worry. You can disconnect, or, continue and select the line you need to hack next instead. The important thing is to put the code 1C, 55 next to the timer on its side. You can have extra codes in there and still be successful!
Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC has the opportunity to expand the game by introducing new Lifepaths inspired by tabletop RPGs. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is probably not too far away, CD Projekt Red has revealed about its DLC so far. The expansion takes players to previously unseen parts of Night City and allows them to experience a spy thriller involving a new United States.

While Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty unfortunately isn't coming to last-gen consoles, it's coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S later this year. What's added remains to be seen, but there are definitely some new playthrough adjustments like extra lifepaths. That said, it hasn't been confirmed whether the DLC will stand alone or add new content to other parts of Cyberpunk 2077.
If it's the latter, there's a good chance the expansion will expand Lifepaths based on the tabletop RPG. While Cyberpunk 2077 featured three lifepaths, Phantom Liberty could reinvigorate the language game by adding more, and some clear directions developers could take. The player's lifepath choices determine the context of V's backstory, starting gear, and its open missions. Each expansion comes with a unique side project and adds new dialogue options to different parts of the game. This sets each lifepath apart and helps flesh out both V's backstory and the world they inhabit, although it's not as outlandish as it could be.
Cyberpunk 2077's three lifepaths are Street Kid, Corpo, and Nomad. The first two are inspired by the two playable roles of a cyberpunk tabletop RPG. However, there are also some roles that are off the table. These unchanged roles are Rockerboy, Solo, Netrunner, Crystaljock, Techie, Media, Cop, Fixer, and Panzerboy, which can be the basis for new lifepaths in Cyberpunk 2077.

Ruckerboy is Johnny Silverhand's role in the cyberpunk pen-and-paper RPG. So it should be easy to see how Lifepath will influence Cyberpunk 2077. This version of V may have more dialogue with Johnny, perhaps giving him more opportunities. To increase his intimacy. This can make it easier to unlock the secrets of Cyberpunk 2077.
This could reveal more of Johnny's background and personality. Solo is another role-playing cyberpunk tabletop game with some interesting story effects. Solos are cybernetically ex-soldiers who often work as mercenaries and assassins. They are the most directly combat oriented roles in tabletop gaming and can usually beat other roles in a fair fight.
His military background is another trait he shares with Johnny but may have special meaning in Phantom Liberty. After all, some ex-servicemen have friends in Militech or still work for NUSA. A Solo V may already be familiar with Idris Elba's Phantom Liberty character Solomon Reed, if only by reputation.

There are also many possibilities in other roles that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty can take advantage of. For example, Cop Lifepath might start with the player as a member of the Night City PD and find themselves on the run after stumbling into the dirty affairs of a fouler commission or the mega corporation behind the department.

In addition, Lifepath Fixer can open up new interactions with the game's mission providers, while Netrunner or Crystaljock can find something while digging into the Arasaka server. Meanwhile, deep technologies, truth-seeking media, and high-flying Panzerboys will surely add a lot to Cyberpunk 2077. Some of these lifepaths may fit Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion better than others.
It's also not unreasonable for CD Projekt Red to add eight or nine new opening missions and new dialogue options for each. However, two or three new options would be great for roleplaying and help flesh out the game world a bit more. Given all the opportunities the new Lifepaths can offer, it would be a shame if CDPR didn't take advantage.

By Tanner Dedmon - April 28, 2023 12:16 pm EDT Cyberpunk 2077 players still hoping for the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC will have a shot to play it before its release, developer CD Projekt RED confirmed this week. A community-focused playtest will be preceded by extended hands-on opportunities for press and content creators, so while it will take some time for the wider community to play, some effects and more should be out over the summer.
