Better Business Bureau: I have read the company's response with reference to Complaint ID ********* and am satisfied with the decision. I cancel the complaint about the loaf and the jug, the money is returned. I no longer use their stations because they are supposed to inform customers about phishing, identity theft, and SmartPay scams.

THERE IS NO DECISION. Second BBB complaint. They have a LOT of complaints. NO CONTACT after the first complaint. (All my calls/emails are being recorded!) SmartPay does not allow the consumer to edit or delete their information. The app has a delete button that tells you that the information will be deleted permanently and irretrievably, but if you use the same information again, it will say "You have already used this bank account number, email address, etc."
You Customize A Gift
SmartPay hides behind a support number that is only answered by bots telling you to "do what you got in the email". This e-mail requests copies of your driver's license and bank statements to be sent by UNSECURE E-MAIL OR UNSECURE FAX. We will not announce the outcome of an email application, except that we may contact you via email within 10 days.
There is no secure portal or way to contact them. THE CONSUMER HAS NO RIGHT TO CONTROL HIS FINANCIAL INFORMATION. The SmartPay app lies and says you're set up and can pay for gas, then you drive miles to get to a gas station and then when you try to pay you get an error saying your account has been locked out.
Why does SmartPay insult potential customers and tell them they are set when they are not? Why does SmartPay offend potential customers by preventing them from deleting their information? Why does SmartPay not have human support when customers trust him with their current accounts? Why aren't SmartPay retail partners trained and informed (they don't know ANYTHING about how SmartPay works!) Why doesn't SmartPay disclose to UP that all the information you provide to them is used for identification and not for marketing?
I'm still trying to set up my account. I have provided 3 billing accounts with pin codes to SmartPay, but I cannot view, manage, or delete my own information using this dodgy device and have never received any of the discounts advertised. I may have to close all three accounts at great expense.
