The museum was great but we had a terrible gift shop experience. We purchased $350 worth of merchandise and initially planned to buy a bag to carry the merchandise for the trip home.

The checkout staff offered to mail items to our house for free. We explained that we would not be home until January 3rd. They explained that this was not a problem and that they could delay delivery this week. Um... I think it was delivered the same day, but it arrived on the 30th or 31st of December and was stolen from the front door.
The parcel was stolen within hours of arriving. Management refused to resend the item or provide retail credit. It's really horrible not to support the actions of your employees. We were perfectly prepared to spend more money to buy a bag to take our items home and it was the staff suggestion to ship it.
There are two concerns I have. (1) In this day and age of shipping goods, not having a policy to account for stolen goods (like almost every other supplier) is completely outdated in my opinion, and (2) the biggest issue with integrity. Management not supporting the actions of their employees.

Do not ship items if you are not ready to receive the package upon arrival. Otherwise, you may lose your money and goods completely. Even if you want to visit the gift shop, this place is worth it. Several Corvettes are on display in the front lobby area awaiting new owners.

The simulator is also in the front, so there are spectators during the “ride”. Simulators cost extra and do not require everyone in the group to participate. Admission is reasonable and the displays are spaced out so it's not crowded. See the still-damaged corvette salvaged from the 2014 sinkhole incident.
The restaurant/cafe is closed for visits. Allow 2 hours for this experience especially if everyone is driving the simulator. The museum is located in a 115,000 square foot building. It has 80 Corvettes (every year including the concept) and just about every other memorabilia imaginable associated with the iconic Brand Lobby.
An unusual exhibit is the Skydome. The Corvette hall of famer and only . Vette with 1983 model and V-12 engine. Of interest here are several wrecked corvettes. These vehicles fell victim to a 35-foot sinkhole that opened at 5:44 am on February 12, 2014.

Victims of the collapse at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Includes the 1 millionth Corvette to be restored. The other Vettes look bombed out. The gift shop has everything a Vette fan could want. This museum is pretty decent even if you are not a big driver.
There are many cars on display and the Corvettes are very nice to look at. You can even see some driving around. It was fascinating to see all the Corvette Evolution designs perfected over the years. We enjoyed the movie showcasing all of the Corvette's improvements.

It's clear that the vehicle is designed for speed. My husband liked the exhibit more than I did, but I found it interesting. There is a great section just for kids. And there were quite a few children accompanied by their parents. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen was a father explaining with his son everything he was excited about with the Corvette.
My husband and I are both disabled. I was able to use a wheelchair. Be sure to bring your driver's license. We recommend visiting the National Corvett Museum. First I have to say that I am not interested in cars. But my friends were like that, so I went there.
