A well-known landmark, the Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, is the primary fundraiser for the Assistance League of Diablo Valley's 16 hands-on philanthropic programs.

Assistance League Of Bellingham Thrift & Gift Shop
Since 2006, the chapter has had a corporate partnership component, in which volunteer employees of local businesses and corporations actively participate and/or contribute financially to our philanthropic efforts. On Monday, April 17, a team led by Tracy Dietlein, Senior Marketing Manager at Macerich-Broadway Plaza, returned once again to share their creative glass expertise and take care of maintenance tasks.
In years past, the Broadway Plaza Corporate Partners team coordinated denim fundraising events on-site at Broadway Plaza that not only donated to the Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, they pooled and shipped these garments to maximize sales. Equally important was the participation of the Broadway Plaza team in the nationally acclaimed Operation School Bell® clothing drives.
On more than one occasion, they reported to the chapter office annex in Walnut Creek, where they filled bags with clothing to distribute to those in the community identified as vulnerable. Today's window adventure captured a tea party atmosphere, complete with life-sized toddlers, collectible porcelain dolls with hand-painted faces, and clothing from traditional to modern treatments.
Donation Hours
The contestants were gifted by a person who once cared for these timeless treasures and now wants to share them with those who believe in the magic of childhood. The long-standing corporate partnership that the Assistance League of Diablo Valley has shared with Macerich-Broadway Plaza celebrates the pride of two civil society organizations with similar values, vision and missions as they continue to make a difference together.
