Aeromexico Gift Card
Aeromexico Gift Card - UPDATE: Some versions mentioned below are no longer available. Check out current offers here. Seeking value from foreign suppliers has become increasingly important as traditional US suppliers use similar revenue models based on income and elite levels. That's especially true for SkyTeam frequent flyers, who see a staggering split in value between the airline's two most popular loyalty programs.

In particular, Delta SkyMiles and Air France-KLM Flying Blue were the first two frequent flyer programs to switch to variable award prices. If you're looking for the new SkyTeam redemption program, look no further than Aeromexico's Club Premier. If you're willing to use some of its features, this program offers solid value.
One important thing to note: Because Aeromexico uses "kilometers" and not "miles," you need to be careful which transfer partners you use to top up your Aeromexico account. Today, we're going to detail everything you need to know to successfully earn Premier Points. For more TPG news delivered to your inbox each morning, sign up for our daily newsletter.
Aeromexico uses a distance-based revenue chart, rather than the one used by major U.S. airlines. use. You'll earn between 25% and 200% of the miles you fly. It depends on your fare class. Aeromexico provides three separate revenue charts for flights within Mexico, flights to the U.S. and Canada, and flights to the rest of the world.
Earn Aeromexico Miles On Flights
Below you can view the earning chart for flights to the US and Canada, earning 25% of air miles for basic flights, 50-125% for Standard Economy and 200% for Business Class passengers. If you credit your flight to a SkyTeam partner in Club Premier, you will still earn points based on distance flown and ticket fare class.

Aeromexico provides a separate revenue chart for each of its SkyTeam partners. However, they all follow the general rule of earning very little miles on heavily discounted tickets, with rates increasing as you upgrade to more expensive tickets. For example, here's a graph of Delta's flight loan revenue to Aeromexico.
It's a similar revenue chart to Aeromexico, although several partners also have lower revenue levels. In addition to offering points for SkyTeam flights to Club Premier, Aeromexico has partnered with some popular transfer programs: American Express Rewards points are transferred to Aeromexico at a rate of 1:1.6.
This is one of the few flight connection ratios better than 1:1. You can earn American Express Membership Rewards points with credit cards like the Platinum® and American Express® Gold Cards from American Express. Transfer Citi ThankYou points to Aeromexico on a 1:1 basis. You can earn CitiThankYou points with credit cards such as the Citi Prestige® Card and Citi Premier® Card.

Both cards offer a host of welcome and category bonuses, making it easy to earn points on everyday purchases. Citi Prestige card information is independently compiled by The Points Guy. The card information on this page has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Miles earned on cards such as the Capital One Venture Reward Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business transfer to Aeromexico at a 1:1 ratio. Marriott points transfer to Aeromexico on a 3:1 basis. You will earn 5,000 award miles for every 60,000 points transferred (maximum 180,000 points per day).

This gives you a 3:1.25 ratio at high displacement. Earning Marriott points is easy thanks to program partnerships with Chase and American Express. You can choose from five Marriott credit cards to add funds to your account balance. While all these different rates can be confusing, it's important to remember where your points are coming from in order to decide if the Aeromexico exchange is worth the money.
Club Premier uses a slightly inflated pricing plan, which further complicates matters. But generally, the best value will come from the Amex transfers that offer the highest rates. Aeromexico is no exception. Whether you fly with Aeromexico or a partner airline, getting one stopover per round trip is a feat and increasingly rare. This could be a great way to see Mexico head to another part of South America. Or visit two cities in Asia or Europe for the price of one.
Aeromexico fares to and from Mexico are shown in the table below. Rates depend on whether you're flying economy or business class and the season of travel. One-way awards are offered at half the fare. You can refer to this chart for flights that have a stopover in Mexico and not a final destination.
Of course, flights to and from Mexico will be of particular interest to many travelers from the United States. Thanks to Aeromexico, they are mild during the so-called "peak season" (Easter, June to mid-August, and December to mid-January). During low season, prices start at 28,000 Premier points for one-way flights.

Please note that once the transfer allocation is cancelled, you will only need to transfer 17,500 Membership Rewards points to earn 28,000 Premier Points. If you wish to fly business class, you will need to transfer 32,500 Membership Rewards points. You can provide reliable quotes through Mexico.
Citi Thankyou
For example, a one-way ticket from the US to Buenos Aires (EZE) costs only 48,000 Premier points (or 30,000 Membership Rewards points). Keep in mind that these rates are in line with what other major airlines like American and United charge you. The advantage comes when you compare it to another SkyTeam airline such as Delta, which may charge you a little less or a little more for the same one-way economy ticket.
Aeromexico's SkyTeam partner rewards table follows the same adage: standard fares, but no sweet promotions. You can't book Partner Awards online, so you'll need to first search for award space and call Aeromexico to book. For round-trip flights from the US, award prices are as follows: Now it's hard to say what exactly Delta's rewards are "saving money", but for as little as 20,000 Premier points, you can book a one-way award in the US, or 12,500 Membership Rewards points.
You can also book the same flight by transferring roughly the same number of Amex points directly to Delta. There's no good incentive not to book direct, other than the frequent transfer incentives offered by Amex. A first class return flight to or from North Asia or South East Asia will cost you 256,000 Premier points or 160,000 Membership Rewards points.
While each airline has slightly different pricing plans, I'd say 80,000 miles one way in business class is about the same as the industry average. The same goes for return airfare to Europe: 96,000 Premier League points, or 60,000 Membership Rewards points, is an outrageous average price.
