However, this particular item can actually be given to some cats hidden around the Dreaming City in exchange for some local gifts. In this guide we will talk about where you can get these little gifts and show the locations of the cats that can be given to them.
A small gift is a consumable loot drop that can be acquired by doing various types of activities in the Dreaming City region, which include clearing Lost Sectors or doing Patrols, to name a few. These little gifts can be thought of as a sort of catnip in the Destiny 2 universe that you can give to kitten statues hidden across various locations in Dreaming City.
Only one small gift can be purchased per character per week and there are only 9 cats available. Once a small gift is given to a cat statue, you will be rewarded with a legendary weapon or piece of armor that comes from the Dreaming City loot pool.
Destiny 2 A Small Gift – All Cat Statues Locations Guide 2022
Here are the locations of all the cat statues hidden in Dreaming City: Go to the Spine of Keres observatory on the northwest side of Divilian Mists. Use the platforms on the inner walls of the tower to climb to the highest point. Once there, go right and you will see the cat statue looking out through a huge window.

Go outside the observatory and go to where you fought Elikaa. Look for the crack in one of the outer walls and go through it. Follow the bridges, paths and stairs until you reach the platform where the path goes through the rock face. On the left there will be a crack low enough for you to jump over.
On the other side, the second cat hides in the forest. Go to the northern edge of the Divilian Mists near the cave tunnel that leads to Rhesilvia. Jump down the cliff and onto a lower platform that connects to a cave. Enter the cave and you will see the third cat on your right.
When you exit the cave tunnel from the Divilian Mists and enter Rhesilvia, take the path to the left of the bridge that leads to the Taken blight. Go even further past the dirt and notice the small rock formation just before the path turns to the right.
What Is A Small Gift In Destiny 2?
Look behind him and you will see the fourth cat sitting on a tree branch. Go to the southernmost end of Esila Gardens and look for a tall rock formation with trees next to an open area. Climb it and you will see the fifth cat near the top tree.
Go to the southwest edge of The Strand where the gate is that connects it to Esila Garden. Instead of entering the garden through the gate, climb the left side of the gate using the cliffs and you will find the sixth cat behind a tree.

On the west side of Rhesilvia is a group of high rock points that go far down. Hug the side of these spurs and time your jumps and glides to make them across the huge gaps between them. You will also need to hang around the sides of a cliff face, you will have enough footing to make it safe.
You will find the seventh cat at the base of a crystal statue at the end of the path. Enter the Harbinger's Seclude in Rhesilvia and find the room with the tree in the middle with lights hanging from it. Climb to the top of the tree to find the eighth cat.
What Is A Small Gift In Destiny 2?
Continue north to the end of Harbinger's Seclude and go to the right side of the huge arch. Use the outcrops on the side of the cliff face to climb up and reach the roof of the building on the right. Walk along the edge of the roof as you follow it around and you will find the ninth cat.
Once you have found all 9 hidden cat images and given them a Small Gift, you will be rewarded with a "Remember Your Manners" Victory and the Ennead Emblem that you can show to your friends and other players. Once you master how to place these things and where to find cats, this little exchange can become a great source of unique Dreaming City gear. With that said, here's how to collect gifts and where to find cats to give them to. The Little Gift is a random drop obtained by doing a number of different events within Destiny 2: Forsaken's Dreaming City, including Patrols, Lost Sectors, and one of the four Blind Well scale layers.
It will appear in your inventory as a Blue rarity item that cannot be interacted with, as well as the option to dismantle it. This is where the cats come in. Take one to a nearby window in the Dreaming City, and they'll reward you with a legendary weapon or piece of armor, though these little furballs aren't easy to come by.
Here's an illustrated guide to the ones we've found so far, with details on how to get to them. For this first cat, spawn in the Divilian Mists and head over to the Backbone of Ceres; where the giant observatory called The Oracle can be found on the northwest side of the map.
Venture into the observatory and jump up to the top platform before turning right. You will see the little guy next to the huge window in front of him, staring at the scene beyond. Go back from The Oracle building and in the area where you fought Elikaa in the A Hum of Starlight story walk.
